Madalene Xuan-Trang Mielke is the Founder and Principal of Arum Group, LLC. She has over 20 years of experience working in political campaigns and specializes in political/non-profit fundraising and political training focused on the advancement of people of color.
Ms. Mielke began her political career as any Type A personality would as a 16 year old Student Body President at her high school in Oxon Hill, MD. From that moment, she knew that politics was the vehicle for her to help make peoples’ lives better. After graduating from Tulane University with a degree in Political Science, she set off to work at the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and later for the Clinton/Gore Coordinated ’96 campaign. After working in the trenches of Democratic politics and assisting on the campaigns of numerous Members of Congress, Ms. Mielke struck out on her own to build political consulting firms that specialize in non-profit fundraising and political training.
Madalene has collaborated with the NAACP National Voter Fund, John Kerry for President, Mike Honda for Congress, Friends of Hillary, CHC BOLD PAC, Akaka for US Senate while working to advance the progressive agenda by raising millions of dollars to empower communities of color.
While building her business, Madalene has been a featured speaker at many conferences and meetings including the American Medical Association (AMA), Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies (APAICS), Conference on Asian American Leadership (CAPAL), and numerous other organizations and non-profits. She has spent her entire professional political career working to bring diversity to the political process and nurturing candidates and staff as they move forward in bringing political change.
In her spare time, she enjoys entertaining as well as experimenting in the kitchen, including a stint as a caterer for friends and family. Despite a packed schedule during political seasons, Madalene is known to spontaneously catch a plane in search of the perfect accessory or to catch a wave while surfing.
